.Completion of Life-Saving Appliances and Safety Equipment Inspection for M/V « Kapitan Kirichenko » in Warri– Nigeria
Comprehensive statutory inspections of life-saving appliances (LSA) and safety equipment on board the M/V « Kapitan Kirichenko » (IMO: 8832069, Flag: Russia) were successfully completed at the Port of Cotonou, Benin, in preparation for an upcoming flag state inspection.
The thorough service scope ensured full compliance with SOLAS and LSA Code requirements through visual, operational, and functional checks, alongside certification reviews. The completed work covered:
Life-Saving and Access Equipment: 2 lifeboats (including launching equipment), 2 boarding ladders, 1 gangway, 2 units of 20-person life rafts, 2 hydrostatic release units (double-looped rope line type for 20 persons), and 1 gangway safety net.
Breathing Apparatus and Cylinders: Regular inspection and charging of 4 breathing apparatus units (types FARWATER and RHZK) and 8 oxygen cylinders.
Safety Gear and Instruments: 1 pair of dielectric galoshes, 3 pairs of dielectric gloves, and an annual thorough examination of the portable gas detector (ANKAT-64M3-01).
All checks and testing were fully executed, certifying the vessel’s safety equipment readiness for regulatory compliance.
